ABOUT ME/ CONTACT

So who am I? Well, I am a lot of things. I am a mama to two amazing kiddos. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we run Oak and Ivy, which is our wedding business. I have a bachelors in Psychology and getting that degree is the reason I am a photographer today. My family gifted me my first real camera as my graduation gift. I have always been obsessed with taking photos. My memory stinks, so documenting things, it's how I remember, but also how I see the world.

With birth photography, I strive to be the mom's eyes. When I gave birth to my son, I remember asking my husband so many questions. What was the environment like? Who was with us? What did I say or do? He had no answers because it was a whirlwind for him as well, and many many hours. I was captivated by birth as a kid, I even shadowed an OB nurse in high school. Throughout my college years and beyond, I tried to figure out what I wanted to do. It wasn't until after having my son that I found out that birth photography was a thing. My two loves, combined?! I photographed my first birth and fell completely in love. Birth work is ever changing. The adrenaline, the power I get to witness in my clients, the love. It's a different kind of love story, and one that I will never tire of documenting.

One of the best parts of my job, is getting to see families grow over the years. I love being invited into your lives! I want to photograph that chaotic toddler phase AND the grimy tween phase! Give me all your chaos and let me show you how magical it really is!

Anyways, I can be loud, and a lot, and I have a sleeve of tattoos. But I also know when to be calm and how to work with others as a team. When to push, and when to just be a reassuring presence. I show lots of love, and I genuinely cannot wait to meet you!
