Rosalie's Lifestyle Newborn Session

October 2, 2017

Right before Rosalie was born (literally) they moved into their house, and were very worried about taking photos in it as it isn't completely unpacked, but I loved it. We found great places all over the house to capture their new family of three perfectly. After taking some family photos, Rosalie was hungry so we moved into taking some breastfeeding shots and talked about mastitis (mama was currently dealing with), and how beautiful and hard those first few weeks are after you bring home a baby. I felt right at home as I sat on the bed with Tina discussing birth and postpartum. If you haven't noticed from my work yet, I might be mildly obsessed with these two things, and I always love to hear birth stories! Newborn sessions are all about being calm and going with the flow, so we chatted, laughed, and swooned over this sweet little girl. Then daddy got out his ukulele and played the song that he played to Rosalie while she was still in the womb. Instantly she smiled and you can tell she loves to hear her daddy play. When a hammock was mentioned I was all in! Soaking up the sunlight and baby snuggles was a dream. I let this adorable family lay out on the hammock for a few minutes while I went inside and got some photos of the nursery before we headed outside to a marsh nearby. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do, and as always, please leave the family some love! <3
